The seventh annual American Folk Art Festival 2014 will be held at Madonna Estate winery (5400 Old Sonoma Rd., Napa CA 94559) in the colorful Napa Valley on Saturday September 6, 2014 from 10am until 3pm. It is called "a very original folk art and folk antique show," blending primitive American folk antiques with the original one-of-a-kind creations of contemporary folk artists. All antique dealers and artists have been included in the Festival by invitation only. They are the best at what they source and create!
In addition, to antiques and art, which may have a nod to Halloween, Madonna Estate will also be acknowledging their 92nd Anniversary of growing grapes and making wine in the Napa Valley. At the Festival, the current vintage of HalloVine wine with its one-of-a-kind artist label by folk artist Allen Cunningham, will also be released and available for tasting at the event. It is a 2010 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the perfect wine for the fall holidays, and most especially Halloween. This will be included in your admission fee that will be collected at the door.
Chocolate will also be featured at the Festival to pair with the tasting of HalloVine wine. A selection of Madonna Estate's many other varietals may be tasted as well. Food will be available for purchase from Napa's well known ABC Baking Company, or guests may bring their own basket and enjoy the two picnic areas at the winery. In addition, there will be a few surprises upon admission and pumpkins will abound. A portion of $10.00 admission fee will be donated to Lucky Penny Productions, a local 501(c)3 non-profit theatre company (www.luckypennynapa.com)
