America Saves Week is an annual opportunity for individuals to assess their own saving status and we are here to help with four FREE workshops!

 

3 Keys to Saving Workshop 

Learn the three important components of saving success and useful strategies to implement them.

 

Calendar-Based Budgeting Workshop

Learn to use a calendar as an effective way to gain financial control of your life.

UF IFAS Extension Orange County HOME and FAMILY

UF IFAS Extension Orange County provides research-based educational programs in response to local issues affecting Florida citizens.  Through the combined efforts of the state and county faculty, staff, volunteers, advisory committees, and local partners, UF IFAS Extension Programs respond to the needs of area residents.  We assist in applying the benefits of research and university expertise to solve problems.

Extension provides educational programming that offers Solutions for Your Life in the following areas, Famiy and Consumer Sciences, Agriculture, natural Resources, Food Production, Sustainable Living, Florida Friendly Landscapes, and 4-H Youth Development.

The Family and Consumer Sciences programs focus on building stronger communities by building stronger families.  We promote economic security and individual, family and community well-being. We provide solutions for:

  • nutrition, health, and food safety
  • school nutrition and gardening encrichment
  • caring for aging family members
  • disaster preparation and recovery
  • parenting skills
  • quality child care and development
  • sustainable home enivornments and ownership
  • healthy and safe homes
  • money management
  • leadership training
  • summer youth day camps

We offer several volunteer training and participation opportunities including the Home & Community Education Association, the UF Master Food & Nutrition Volunteer Program, and the UF Florida Master Money Mentor Program.
