The audience for this training includes community health workers, social workers and all human service providers, as well as caregivers.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
Identify the challenges and barriers of providing services in a home environment.
Identify and define the term Alzheimer’s Disease.
Acknowledge the difference between Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia.
Identify resources that will assist caregivers in the home.
Address and define the term cognitive impairment.
Identify strategies for working with caregivers.
Identify resources and strategies for working with consumers who have impaired cognitive skills.
Identify community resources for consumers who have impaired cognitive skills.
