Alzheimer's Advocacy Day
Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM
Who: Join caregivers, people with dementia, advocates, chapter staff and volunteers for our annual bus trip to Albany!
What: We travel to Albany where we rally in The Well of the Legislative Office Building and then meet with legislators to ask them to make Alzheimer's funding, research, and community programs a priority. FREE lunch and great company included!
Where: The coach bus leaves from the Alzheimer’s Association Office located at 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221 and travels to the Legislative Office Building in Albany, NY and back.
When: MAY 14th, 2013 Expect to leave by 6:15am and return by 8:30pm.
Why: As Alzheimer's disease threatens to bankrupt families, businesses and our healthcare system, scientists are coming closer to finding better treatments that could drastically alter the course of the disease. Now is the time to join us and speak up for the needs and rights of people with Alzheimer's and their families, and help persuade elected officials to address those needs through legislative action. If you're not an advocate yet… Add your voice to ours - become an advocate today!
