Alternative Nation: An Evening with Kennedy
Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (CDT)
Pre-Event Ticket Sales are over. We will sell tickets at the door.
Kennedy is best known as the host of MTV's “Alternative Nation,” where she helped popularize alternative bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and many others. But Kennedy is alternative herself: she has a liberty-based, free market view of the world.
Kennedy now hosts a radio talk show in Los Angeles. She is also a contributor to Reason magazine and Reason TV, and a special contributor to multiple Fox News shows, including “Stossel” and “Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld.” She has spoken out on issues such as individual rights, ObamaCare and government intrusion.
Please join the Illinois Policy Institute in partnership with America’s Future Foundation, Chicago Young Republicans and Reason on August 5 for an evening with Kennedy at Sub 51. She will share her experiences as a libertarian in the entertainment industry.
Attendees who sign up for a new Illinois Policy Institute membership can pay $25 to attend – you will also receive one free drink ticket. General admission for all other attendees is $10.
