Without firing a shot or harming a soul, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the course of history and called a nation to fulfill its promise to guarantee the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, regardless of physical and socioeconomic difference. The principle of non-violence helped to lift millions of people from the shadows of despair and overcome what seemed like insurmountable obstacles.
In recognition of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. along with the prospective cosponsoring organizations has planned to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King through an evening of conversation, music and dynamic multimedia presentations - all of which will be centered on themes of unity and positivity.
The evening’s program will take place on Saturday, February 23, in the Douglass Campus Center’s Trayes Hall, commemorating Dr. King’s impact, and at the same time shedding light on the social initiatives of an organization that has aligned themselves within his legacy.
We Will Also be raising funds to help support the March of Dimes. This is a charity event and ALL proceeds will go to the March of Dimes.
