Dress in Your Hawaiian Best as Nancy Little, Ph.D., LUT, LPC Shares the ALOHA Spirit!
You won’t want to miss Unity Church of San Antonio’s Aloha Sunday Service on July 3th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with guest speaker Nancy Little, Ph.D., LUT, LPC. Nancy will provide the message in the Sanctuary located on 1723 West Lawndale Street. After church there will be a Hawaiian themed potluck in the CommUNITY Center of the Unity Heights Building located on 8103 Broadway. That afternoon, at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary on Lawndale Street, Nancy will also present a workshop, “I AM ALOHA”. An opportunity to give a Love Offering (donation) will be provided at the workshop.
Her Sunday Message is titled “Strive to Reach the Highest (Kulia I ka nu’u)” In this Aloha Sunday message, Nancy will integrate the wisdom contained in this ancient Hawaiian teaching, a favorite motto of Queen Kapi’olani, with Unity metaphysical concepts. Attendees are invited to wear Hawaiian island dress, or colorful clothing to help create the island energy!
Her workshop at 1:30 p.m. is titled “I AM ALOHA”. This is a fun and interactive workshop. Nancy will guide, inspire & support you to enhance several aspects of life, including caregiving, commUnity, compassion and connection. She will focus on fostering empathy as well as love for yourself and others. She will explain ‘Ohana and how it applies to all aspects of family. You’ll learn about compassion; nurturing kindness and consideration. Enhance your connection with others by enhancing deep sharing and understanding at this workshop. Relax, replenish, rejuvenate, and connect to the rhythm of Aloha as well as the Divine Flow of Life! The cost is a donation (lover offering) at the door.
Nancy Little is a heart-opening and inspirational speaker. She completed her coursework and exams to earn the designation of credentialed leader as a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2012. She received training during a ministerial internship at Unity Church of Hawaii in 2012 as well.
Nancy has performed in varied roles over her more than 20 years of service with Unity of Dallas. She has served as a Board member, Inaugural Prayer Chaplain, and PC Coordinator. She also has been a Platform Assistant. Nancy is experienced in several ministry groups, including Sacred Conversation Team, Book Study leader, Health and Wellness Team, Education Committee, Caring Circle, and served as Single’s Director. She has served as a spiritual counselor; and teacher of classes, workshops and programs. She is also experienced in transitional ministry issues and strategies.
Nancy combines a wide-ranging background with more than 25 years in higher education in her work. She has expertise as a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as training in pastoral care. She addresses the needs of individuals and groups in navigating life transitions and changes. As she does so, she sparks each individual’s unique gifts and talents. Her talks and seminars address various topics related to spirituality, wellness, self-care, and grief and loss.
In 2014, Nancy earned the designation of Rasur from Rasur Foundation International, which certifies her to serve as a BePeace Practice teacher, presenter and coach. The BePeace practice is a skill set that unites empathy and insight to accelerate personal growth.
Nancy is active in three Toastmaster Clubs and will earn the award of Distinguished Toastmaster in July 2014.
