CyberPatriot is the premier national youth cyber education program created to inspire students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future. The program was conceived by the Air Force Association (AFA). The Northrop Grumman Foundation is the presenting sponsor.
What do students do at CyberPatriot CyberCamps?
CyberCamps emphasize fun, hands-on learning of cybersecurity principles that are relevant and applicable to everyday life. Each day of camp will cover new topics and activites, building up to an exciting, final team compeltion simulating real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals.
What will students learn at CyberCamp?
At CyberCamp, students will learn the importance of cyber safety and how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats. They will also learn how to secure networks running on several different operating systems. By the end of the camp, students will have a solid foundation in both personal and system cybersecurity, and will be well-prepared to participate in the CyberPatriot VII National Youth Cyber Defense Compeltion.
Who can attend?
The San Antonio CyberCamp is open to rising 9th and 10th grade females. Advanced computer skills are not necessary! Students of all levels are encouraged to participate.
