Salt & Sundry is pleased to host Bittermens creators Janet and Avery Glasser for a very special evening class and tasting: All About Bitters. Learn from the husband and wife team about how bitters are made and the important role they play in creating a well balanced cocktail. Smell, taste and learn as you enjoy two complimentary cocktails, highlighting Bittermens award-winning flavors, crafted by DC's own Dan Searing, spirits specialist and author.
Armed with innovative recipes and ideas, guests will take home a bottle of Bittermens handcrafted bitters to mix up their own creations. Additional bottles will be available for purchase that evening.
Seating for the class is limited. Free parking is available in the Union Market parking lot, with an entrance on Sixth Street NE. For additional questions, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
While living in San Francisco in early 2007, Avery and Janet Glasser used high proof spirit and a variety of herbs, peels and spices to create an extract of a traditional Mexican cooking sauce. This extract became the prototype recipe for their Xocolatl Mole Bitters. After a recent move from Brooklyn, Bittermens line of bitters is now handcrafted from primarily organic ingredients in New Orleans.
