Alamo Agile Local Interest Group hosts "The Agile Doctor" Larry Apke for Agile Coffee
Larry Apke has over five years of Agile experience, most as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach. He has worked with six different companies, dozens of teams and hundreds of team members helping them transition from a phased-gate development approach to a more agile methodology. During this time Larry has held many different titles – Director of Software Development, Project Manager, etc., but all of his experience has been with Agile.
Larry has a passion for learning and applying Agile and helping others. He is a frequent speaker on Agile and has a passion for curing the Agile ills of those he coaches. He is a steering committee member of the Phoenix Scrum Users Group. His popular web site “The Agile Doctor” (http://www.agile-doctor.com/) provides advice and insights into everything Agile.
The Alamo Agile Local Interest Group presents Larry Apke who will host the first-ever Agile Coffee in San Antonio. The format is simple: attendees suggest topics to discuss. They are voted up or down by the rest of the attendees. The top vote getters will be discussed by the panel of agilists led by “The Agile Doctor” Larry. This innovative presentation format allows consultations to occur on the most popular or troublesome issues.
Another innovation is the location for this event. This is the first time that the Alamo Agile Local Interest Group has partnered with Geekdom. Geekdom is a new kind of collaborative coworking space where Entrepreneurs, Technologists, Developers, Makers and Creatives help each other build businesses and other cool things together.
