It is finally here! The 2nd annual Youth Advocacy Day!
And this year is going to be even bigger than last year!
Be a voice for change and help make Alabama a better and healthier place for youth!
We are taking a bus full of youth between the ages of 15 and 24 down to Montgomery to fight for better sexual health education as well as the removal of the homophobic language in Alabama's Sexual Health Education law.
The bus will leave at 8 AM on March 18 from the AIDS Alabama main office. From there we will head down to Montgomery and arrive around 9:30 AM.
We will leave Montgomery around 3 and be back at the AIDS Alabama main office around 4:30.
We will provide a training and a lunch before we head over to the State House to speak with legislators on these important issues! School excuse notes will be provided!
When & Where
Alabama Alliance for Healthy Youth
In partnership with AIDS Alabama, the Alabama Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, and Advocates for Youth, the Alabama Alliance for Healthy Youth is a statewide initiative that works to bring atmospheric shift around sexual health and sex education in Alabama. This shift will ease changes in policies and programs at the state and local level, helping to ensure healthier lives for the youth of Alabama.
