AKPA mission reads in part "to promote" and inform Kenyans, and so AKPA does make it our policy to employ our fellow Kenyans for any venue AKPA hosts and promote events that benifit Kenyans here and in Kenya.

In 2011 you supported a budding Chef: Elizabeth Ajwang who has now found a Kenyan Mentor Caroline Gitonga to get her to the next level. As a TEAM their resume includes Dekalb Food Festival where they ran out of Samosa and Mahamri's.

In 2011 you supported Nyce Keiyora who astounded the crowd with her poetry, this year she has turned her skill into money. AKPA recommended her to use her voice in a a featured reader in a childrens series. We are waiting to buy a copy!!

In 2011 Kenya was just a wonderful place to visit for many in atlanta now AKPA Members and Friend have their very own Kenya Winter Wonderland tree at the Fernbank Musuem celebrating our culture from proud Kenyans in ATLANTA- AKPA will be giving away tickets on Dec 8th, 2012 at 8PM. Be there.

In 2011 AKPA was talking about networking this year we are leveraging our networks and learning how to convert who we are into what each person wants to become.

In 2011 we planted our first tree in memory of Prof Wangari Maathai this year we continue the legacy.......If you are free any saturday go to tree's atlanta... let us know you are going and we will send the invite out for others to join you.

One by one AKPA asks you..yes you..... to step up and use your skills to help build each other up. Bring your talents to the table.

All funds contributed are spent on the scholarship funds, AKPA activities that promote Kenyans, AKPA website and any activity that enhances our image as Kenyans and brings attention to Kenyans in what they do.
