What to expect at Aki Matsuri: Participating restaurants/companies will have their own booths, serving up their unique 'Izakaya' (Japanese-style pub fare) themed dish. Soba-Ya will have a special live soba making demonstration, and the event space will be decorated by Ikebana International, using their zen flower arrangements. There will be a silent auction with must have items, such as: Gramercy Tavern-Dinner for 2, Saxon & Parole-Dinner for 2 with wine pairing, Oceana-Dinner for 2 with wine pairing, Morimoto knives, Dinner for 4 at The James Beard House, and many more! A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to Japan Relief and all other proceeds will go towards our future educational programs for the public and professionals.
