Ted L. Clifton, Nationally Acclaimed Designer and Builder of Net Zero Energy Homes
Designing for Deep Green
Founder and CEO of Zero-Energy Plans LLC, and President of CVH Inc. DBA- Clifton View Homes
Ted has been active in the design and construction of high efficiency new homes, and high-efficiency energy retrofits. It has been in this arena that Ted has gained national recognition through projects and seminars. Every project built or renovated by Clifton View Homes for the last six years is at least Three-Star SICBA Built Green® or above. Seven of his projects have been certified at the Five-Star level, which is approximately equal to the NAHB Emerald (highest) level. One project was verified at the NAHB Green Emerald Level. Zero-Energy Plans LLC and CVH Inc have been honored with seven Energy Value Housing Awards and three National Green Building Awards for Concept and Research.
Robert Suryan,CEDIA Designer, EST II, ISF, HAA, Principal: Fusion 9 Design
Planning for Electronic Systems in the Home
Robert has been involved in electronics since 1977 studying acoustics and loudspeaker design, and in 1993 became involved with computers and network systems. Then in 2004 he started his first Electronic Systems Contractor company with an ISF and HAA certification. 2006 he started his involvement with CEDIA earning an Electronics Systems Technician certification, Registered Outreach Instructor in 2008, transformed into Fusion9 Design with current business partner in 2009 and finally earned a Cedia Designers certification in 2011. He has always felt that education is a very key element for himself as well as sharing knowledge with others in Build and Design community.
Andrew Pultorak, LC, MIES, Principal: Lumen Design
Residential Lighting and the WA State Energy Code
Andrew has been active in the lighting industry since 1987 including working as a Senior Lighting Designer for two Seattle based firms before starting his own lighting design and consultation firm, Lumen Design in 2008. Andrew has designed both interior and exterior lighting for private residences, restaurants, casinos, retail spaces, offices and houses of worship from Seattle to Spain to South Africa. He received the GE Edison Award of Merit and an IIDA award for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and most recently received an IIDA award for an eyewear store in Washington State. He currently holds his certification from NCQLP (National Certification of Qualified Lighting Professionals), a member of the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) currently sitting on the IES Puget Sound Section Board of Managers, is past President of the IES Puget Sound Section and is a member of the IES National Progress Report Committee.
