Agile Business Intelligence Training
The Agile Business Intelligence training class is a one-day learning experience that teaches students how to apply Agile practices when developing Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions. The course covers planning, design and development approaches to provide significant business value out of data in an Agile environment.
The class is presented in a highly interactive and collaborative format with elements of lecture, classroom discussion, exercises, games, and simulations interwoven throughout the class.
Who Should Attend
This course is appropriate for business analysts, data analysts and data architects, ETL developers and report creators that want to learn about how to take an Agile approach to BI projects. Attendees should already have a basic understanding of Scrum from the Agile and Scrum in a Day course, a Certified ScrumMaster course, a Certified ProductOwner course or equivalent Agile experience.

About Your Trainers
Fadi Stephan is a consultant with Washington DC-based Excella Consulting. Fadi has more than fifteen years of professional experience as a product manager, project manager, software developer, and consultant at businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Since 2006, his focus has been on agile adoption and on transitioning, coaching, and mentoring teams in agile practices. Fadi is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). Fadi is also founder of the DC Software Craftsmanship user group, and organizer of the DC Scrum user group.
Sara Handel is a consultant with Washington DC-based Excella Consulting. Sara has more than 10 years of experience successfully implementing Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions. Sara coaches and mentors clients in understanding Agile BI and works on full BI solution implementations as well.
Sara founded and leads Excella’s Business Intelligence Center of Excellence. In addition, Sara is a member of The Data Warehousing Institute’s Washington D.C. chapter board. In both of these roles, Sara works with other data professionals to promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning and growth in the BI domain.
Price, Date, and Location
The registration fee for this one-day course is $695.00 (inclusive of all taxes and fees). You may pay online via credit card or request that Excella invoice you if you have an existing billing arrangement with Excella.
Registration is now open. Class will take place from 8:30am – 5pm at Excella Consulting at 2300 Wilson Boulevard, in Arlington, Virginia (located at the Courthouse Metro stop on the Orange Line). Parking is available and will be validated. Light breakfast will be available before class from 8:30am to 9:00am and lunch will be provided around noon.
Students submitting cancellation requests 5 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 5 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued credit toward a future Excella training course. The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees. Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered students will be refunded 100% of the registration cost he/she paid.
