In connection with the JFK week taking place in North Little Rock during the week of March 25th, 2013 the Little Rock Film Festival Argenta Film Series will show Oliver Stone's JFK.  This film details the actions of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison, who takes it upon himself to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, in 1963. Garrison is extremely suspicious of the official story presented by the FBI, and what he already knows and what he subsequently learns lead him to suspect that there is more to the story than the public is being told.

Also, showing this week,on Wednesday night there is "Shooting JFK a conversation with photographer Willie Allen". Willie is a North Little Rock resident who was working as a United Press International (UPI) photographer   In the 60's. He was assigned to the 1961 Democratic Convention in LA when JFK won. He then traveled to Austin and worked with LBJ. Was Photographing JFK in Ft. Worth at the Democratic breakfast and traveled to Dallas on the day of the assassination. He was the photographer who rushed into the Book Observatory while the Presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was still in the building. His photo's were used worldwide in the coverage of JFK's death. He was friends of Jack Ruby who later shot Oswald and was on the scene to develop the Pulitzer Prize winning photo of Oswald's being shot by Ruby. His stories of that time and photo's he will share at 7 on Wednesday the 27th at ACT won't want to be missed. He will follow up and continue the conversation on Saturday at 4 in the Joint .
