US-Africa Synergy (USAS) is a New York City-based non-profit 501 (C) 3 organization dedicated to equip underprivileged African youth in the United States and Africa with requisite skills, tools, and knowledge to overcome socio-economic barriers and reach their full potential.
We believe African youth are invaluable assets and are key in attaining Africa’s gains in development, not only because of the large size of the youth population, but also because of their creativity, their drive, and their aspirations. Through our programs and services we:
Advocate for gender equality and youth empowerment;
Connect under- resourced youth in the U.S. and Africa with mentors and organizations that offer internships and scholarships;
Educate young women and provide them with life and professional skills, career guidance, knowledge and networks to meet their personal goals and aspirations while effectively contributing to the development of their communities.
US-Africa Synergy is run by a group of multi-talented and philanthropically minded professionals with backgrounds in the arts, business, international development, social entrepreneurship and more. Since 2010, with the support of private donors and sponsors, we have provided mentorship, counseling, internship opportunities, and career guidance to 100 men and 150 women aged between 18 and 32.
