Ray Rickman will be conducting a walking tour of College Hill on Saturday, September 13th from 10am to noon. Starting at the RISD Auditorium along the Providence River, the tour will cover the historic African American people and places in Providence's oldest neighborhood.
The tour is made in conjunction with the NAACP Youth Group and the Billy Taylor House in an effort to promote the importance of history in our youth.
Reservations are required. Please remember to wear walking shoes!
All proceeds benefit the Rhode Island Black Heritage Sociey.

The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society
The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society was founded in 1975 with a mission to preserve three centuries of African American history in the state. The Society has amassed an invaluable collection of artifacts that documents African Americans' achievements in military service, business, politics, the arts and education. The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society encourages and promotes the study of African American history by hosting tours, lectures, and exhibits for the general public.
