AFP-MT Independence Parade and Freedom Rally
Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM (MDT)
Parade: 3:00 PM, Freedom Rally at the Bandshell: 6:00 PM
DIRECTIONS: Traffic in Livingston will be congested. Please plan on arriving an hour or so before the parade or at around 2:00 PM and at 5;00 PM for the rally at the band shell. Roads will be closed roads on 2nd, Main and Park between 2nd and Main streets.
To find parking near the band shell for the rally or near Park High School or the middle school for the parade, take exit 330, Take a right on Park Street and go .8 miles, make a left on 12th Street and go .4 miles, make a left on River Road (runs alongside the Yellowstone River) and follow that until you pass the band shell on your right and continue until you reach the high school. You are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. Please bring patriotic signs for the march that can be easily understood by the many children in attendance at the parade. The Livingston Chamber of Commerce runs the parade and they have directed all participants including the Livingston Tea Party to not bring anti-government signs as the parade is a family-friendly traditional event. Free speech will be honored and encouraged at the band shell.
