Michigan lawmakers are grappling with whether or not to expand government health insurance for low-income people (known as Medicaid) to able-bodied adults making up to 138% of the federal poverty level.

Prior to moving to Michigan four years ago, she served as the Communications Director for the national office of Americans for Prosperity.
