AFP GA Crossover Day War Room
Monday, March 3, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (MST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join AFP GA activists from around the State for one of the most critical days in the 2014 Legislative session - Crossover Day. This is a day when free market, limited government activists are desperately needed on the ground at the Capitol to be watchdogs for good government because it is a key deadline. Any legislation that stands a chance of passing this year must be voted on in the chamber (House or Senate) where it originated and "cross over" to the other side by Crossover Day (Day 30 of 40). We have a full plate of bills to fight for this session so RSVP on this page in order to reserve your activist space. AFP will provide FREE breakfast bagels, donuts, coffee and a sandwich lunch for all RSVP participants.
For a primer of the bills we'll be fighting for and against click HERE and read ahead.
We will start the day in the Coverdell Leadership Office Building (CLOB) in Room 328 from 9am-1pm. This building is located directly across the street from the Capitol on the Mitchell/Capitol St side. We will re-locate to inside the Capitol in Room 123 (the basement) from 1pm to close.
You don't need to bring anything but yourself and your patriotic support for good governance in order to participate. We will have printouts of the agenda and copies of bills when you arrive.
When & Where
Americans for Prosperity - Georgia
Americans for Prosperity - Georgia (AFP-GA) is committed to educating citizens about economic policy and mobilizing those citizens as advocates in the public policy process. AFP is an organization of grassroots leaders who engage citizens in the name of limited government and free markets on the local, state, and federal levels. AFP grassroots activists advocate for public policies that champion the principles of entrepreneurship and fiscal and regulatory restraint. To that end, AFP supports:
- Cutting taxes and government spending in order to halt the encroachment of government in the economic lives of citizens by fighting proposed tax increases and pointing out evidence of waste, fraud, and abuse.
- Removing unnecessary barriers to entrepreneurship and opportunity by sparking citizen involvement early in the regulatory process in order to reduce red tape.
- Restoring fairness to our judicial system.
