Affordable Care Act -- Understanding Health Care Reform: From Accountable Care Organizations to Vending Machine Labeling
This is a very timely course that will provide an overview of the Affordable Care Act and the major insurance reforms included in the law. It will address issues of implementation of Medicaid expansion, the exchange, costs of care and efficiency, improving quality and patient safety as well as prevention and public health. In addition to presentations by Dr. Dylan Roby - an expert researcher in the field – the course will have a practical component with team activities as well as individual problem solving.
This course will run December 10-14, 8:00am-5:00pm, and will take place in at the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA. The exact room number will be sent to registered students.
