Job Fair

Only on Saturday- January 19th- 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 

The Westin Las Vegas Hotel Casino and Spa.  160 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89109

 

The dress code is business attire (suit and tie).  The price of the ticket is for all-day admission and all the seminars are included.

You do not need to meet the flight time minimums in order to attend or to talk to the recruiters.

You must print your admission ticket to the job fair.  We are not accepting the Eventbrite.com mobile app for admission.

Job Fair Registration at the Hotel:  Saturday- January 19th- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

 

Please bring the following to the job fair:

1- Print out your admission ticket and bring this ticket to the event entrance.  We are not accepting the Eventbrite.com mobile app at the job fair.

 

Seminars

 

A career seminar will start at 11:00 AM.  We will be discussing what to expect at the job fair, how to present yourself to the recruiter and what is expected of a pilot candidate.  This presentation should last 45 minutes.  If you are just starting out your aviation career or need a refresher course about seeking a pilot job it is a good idea to attend.  Attendance is not mandatory.  At the end we will do a Q&A session.

Some companies will be making a presentation about themselves and these will be held throughout the day.  The presentation schedule will be posted at the registration table.

AirNet-    General Admission Line

Minimums of 1200 TT.

 

Air Wisconsin-     General Admission Line

Minimums 1500 TT, 250 Multi. 

 

American Eagle-     General Admission Line

ATP minimums.  You must have the ATP written completed prior to the start of new hire training.  Projecting 400 pilots needed for 2013.

 

Amerflight-     General Admission Line

Part 135.243(c) minimums.  1200 TT, 500 cross country, 100 night, 75 instrument (50 hours in flight).

"Pilots typically fly 500 hours per year and upgrade from initial aircraft assignment (PA-31) into turbine aircraft (BE-99) within 4 months.  That is moving their aviation careers into high gear by being able to log TURBINE PIC towards that elusive, holy grail of flight time: 1000 hours of turbine PIC!

Cape Air-     General Admission Line

Minimums for Captains are ATP mins.  First Officer minimums are 1000 TT.

 

CommutAir-     General Admission Line

Minimums 1500 TT, 100 Multi.  ATP written completed.

 

Compass Airlines-     General Admission Line

1500  TT, ATP Minimums.  Competitive Requirements: 2500 TT, 500 Multi, 4 yr Degree.

 

ExpressJet-     General Admission Line

Minimums of 1200 TT, 100 Multi.  ATP written completed.

GoJet Airlines-      General Admission Line

Minimums of 1500 TT and 100 Multi.  Hiring First Officers only, talk to the recruiter about Captain upgrades.  You must have an online application completed.

 

Great Lakes-     General Admission Line

Minimums of 1240 TT, 50 Multi.   80 hrs in the last 6 months, 35 hrs in the last 90 days.

 

Republic Airways-     General Admission Line

Minimums of 1500 TT, 200 Multi, 100 Instrument.  

 

SkyWest-    General Admission Line

ATP Mins.  You must be 23 years old by August 2013.

 

Spirit Airlines-     General Admission Line.  4-5 year upgrade time at Spirit.

The Chief Pilot is planning to call 40-50 from the November job fair in Atlanta.  Spirit is planning to hire 24 pilots per month indefinitely.

 

4,000 hours total time in fixed wing aircraft.  1,000 hours in multi-engine aircraft (at least 50 hours flown within the last 12 months.)  Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.  Current Airline Transport Pilot License.  Valid passport/documents with the ability to travel in and out of the USA and all cities/countries served by Spirit Airlines now and in the future.

Spirit Airlines Ground Instructor

Spirit Airlines is also recruiting for its ground instructor program. Ground instructors join Spirit’s Flight Operations training department and transition to a First Officer position within 2 years.  Earn an A320 type rating, then provide pilot training, develop training manuals and courseware, and perform jumpseat observations. Interact with management daily and gain a thorough understanding of airline operations before transitioning to line pilot duties.

Ground instructors must possess the following minimum qualifications:

•       Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner

•       Experience with adult learning principles and advanced curriculum development

•       Four year college degree

•       CFI certificate and Commercial Pilot certificate with multi-engine rating

•       Restricted ATP minimums:

o   1,000 TT, 325 XC, 100 Night

o   250 PIC (including 100 PIC XC and 25 PIC Night), 50 ME Airplane, 75 Instrument

Preferred qualifications for ground instructors:

•       Two (2) years’ experience as a flight instructor, ground instructor, or pilot evaluator/examiner at an accredited university flight training program or a 14 CFR Part 121 airline

•       A degree in education, science, or engineering
