Greetings All,

It’s almost time for the November Advocates Academy. I am so excited about this one.

Medicated - What Do Drugs Have to Do With It?

What is being used, some side effects. Many of our children are on some psychotropic drugs or will be while in care. Find out what san expert has to say about the use of drugs in children and adolescents. You have question and our expert has some answers.

WHEN: Thursday, November 12th from 6PM - 8PM

WHERE: The CASA Offices conference room 104.

What will I learn: You will learn about psychotropic medications, their uses, common side effects and also about Rock Springs in Georgetown.

SPEAKER: Tiffany Thomure graduated from Rice University with a BA in Cognitive Sciences, then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She then stayed at UTHSCSA for her residency in general psychiatry and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. She is current adjunct faculty for the Department of Psychiatry. Tiffany was a physician at Clarity Child Guidance Center in San Antonio, working inpatient and with partial hospital patients. In addition she had her own outpatient clinic where she saw children ages 3 to 17. Tiffany moved to Georgetown when Rock Springs opened to develop their adolescent inpatient unit. In April 2015 Tiffany became Medical Director of Rock Springs.
