Date & Time: Sunday, October 19th, 9am-6pm

This one-day course will present advanced needling techniques including:
* Acupuncture techniques that balance Yin & Yang (Hot & Cold)
* Acupuncture techniques for Biao Li and Zhang Fu (Includes an overview of balancing emotions with Shen Circle)
* Traditional/Painless techniques for difficult points/areas* Acupuncture techniques to tonify & sedate (Includes an overview of other/related acupuncture techniques.

Additionally, students will be exposed to Dr. Zhao's well-known Flying Needle Technique. There will be Demonstration and Practice Session throughout the day.

About the Instructor:  Joanna Zhao is the Vice President, Academic Dean and Senior Professor at Five Branches University since 1984. She had taught TCM and interpreted (Chinese-English) lectures in international programs at Diverse Shanghai Hospitals from 1975-1980. Dr. Zhao's education background includes: DAOM program at Five Branches University (2006); Advanced Studies in TCM at Zhejiang College of TCM, Hangzhou, China (1994) and at Shuguang Hospital of Shanghai University of TCM (1992); Advanced Anatomy at UCSF and CCAA, San Francisco ( 1985-86); Nursing & Music at College of San Mateo (1981-84); Teaching, Chinese Literature and TCM History in Huadong Normal University, Shanghai, China (1974-76); and Acupuncture and Integrated Medicine Program in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai, China (1970-74).
