The next meeting of the Boston chapter of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners will be on Thursday November 1 at noon at the Baystate offices in Wakefield at 301 Edgewater Place, suite 200. Please feel free to bring your lunch. Our guest speaker will Freda Brown an Enrolled Agent and CDFA. Freda will walk us through one or two complex divorce case studies focusing on tax issues. One case may include issues with the sale of business property, alternative minimum tax, and installment sale. The other could include issues with tax credit and deductions and exemptions considerations when there is a large income difference between the spouses.
Freda Brown is an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst
She is the owner of Divorce Financial Services in Southwick MA where she helps divorcing individuals achieve fair and equitable divorce settlements based on knowledge rather than emotions. Freda is a Master Tax Advisor with Drenen Financial Services with experience ranging from simple to complex tax returns including businesses, farms, rentals, sales of property, and partnerships.
Freda is a member of the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts, the Financial Divorce Association, the Association of Divorce Financial Planners, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council. She earned a BS in Education from Springfield College in 1974.
