We are pleased to present the ADEPT Creative Project Management Workshop – written and presented for advertising professionals, by advertising professionals.   

The ADEPT Creative Project Management Workshop was developed by advertising agency veterans who possess deep experience and insights into the unique challenges of managing projects and people in a creative environment.

What You Will Learn

In this one-day workshop, participants will learn agency-proven project management techniques, tips and approaches that will help to ensure project success. Workshop discussion will include:

The definition of ADEPT Creative Project Management and how it differs from project management in other industries

Core principles of ADEPT Creative Project Management

Primary tools to apply in any media

Objectives of and relationships with partner departments

Skill and core competencies required for successful creative project management

Best practices in scheduling and managing the work

Case studies/ group exercises

In addition, your participation in this program will grant you access to project management professionals and education via an online community.

Who Should Attend?

Project Managers interested in professional growth and other agency team members who have responsibility for internal management of projects, workflow and resources. This workshop is also intended for senior agency personnel who need to determine competency development plans for staff members who function in this area.

About the Workshop Leaders(s)

Our workshop facilitator is Catherine McIntyre-Velky, Founder and President, McVelky LLC Consulting and Principal of ADEPT Creative Project Management. Catherine is a nationally recognized authority on project management and creative operations within the marketing communications industry. She has worked with a diverse range of advertising agencies and marketers, from top global companies to innovative regional players, providing guidance in project management, managing creative resources and integrated offerings, and workflow systems. Catherine has established Project Management departments, as well as having designed operations for many startup companies. For the past three years, Catherine has been Chair of the 4A’s Project Management Committee.

Also participating in facilitation will be Monique Verrier, agency operations consultant and Principal of ADEPT Creative Project Management. Monique is a recognized expert in agency workflow models and has led Project Management teams and established and overhauled project management disciplines at some of the best shops in the nation and internationally. Her roles have ranged from project management to creative services and resource management, recruiting and operations. She is a member of the 4A’s Project Management Committee.

*Please join us for a post-workshop networking and happy hour (venue TBA).  If you are traveling from out of town, please consider staying overnight after the workshop so that you can join!  

Your registration fee includes in-workshop beverages, breakfast and lunch.  

Be sure to take advantage of our early-bird pricing, which ends on May 15, 2013 or when early-bird tickets run out, whichever comes first!

Cancellation Policy

Excluding a $25 processing fee, refunds will be granted only if requests are received in writing two full weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the workshop date. No refunds will be allowed after this date. Substitutions permitted provided arrangements are made in advance with ADEPT Creative Project Management.  ADEPT requires a minimum of 20 participants per session and reserves the right to cancel the workshop within two weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the workshop.  In the event of a cancellation due to fewer than 20 registrants, ADEPT will refund all workshop fees.  Please note that under no circumstances may ADEPT Creative Project Management be held liable for travel expenses or travel-related cancellation fees.
