FAQs

If I do not work directly with NEPA or transportation projects, can I still get value from this course?

Our target audience is professional level staff with at least 2 years of experience, all the way to 20+ years, as we will be combining a mix of backgrounds in multiple case study teams.  While part of our intent is to include appropriate level content to meet certification maintenance standards for the American Institute of Certified Planners, students of any skill levels will fit in, learn, and contribute through this unique format.

Where can I park? What accessibility options are available?

We encourage any carpooling or commuter options you have available. Downtown Duluth is easily accessible via I-85, SR 120, and Buford Highway, approximately 45 to 60 driving minutes north of the Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Free parking is available in lots adjacent to the 3150 Main Street building and across the street. Handicap parking spaces are reserved directly along Main Street in front of the building. All of our breakout sessions and meals will be on site or within easy walking distance of less than 2 blocks. If you have any medical or other accessibility needs, please alert us in advance so that we can take care of them. If you need overnight accommodations, contact us directly for ideas and assistance.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

You are welcome to bring your phones, tablets, and laptops.  Free wireless access will be provided, and your devices may be useful during the case study on Day 2. Bring whatever you need to be the most effective in class with minimal distractions.

What food choices will I have?

No need to bring or buy your own food or beverages, as we will have creative options all day.  With so many choices, we can adapt quickly to any dietary restrictions. For example, Day 1 features an “open tab” with the full lunch menu at 3 different local restaurants. If you have specific concerns or requests, just use the Contact Organizer button or email us: jacqi@adriancollaborative.com.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes. Please send us the same information for your replacement as you filled out, particularly the name, years of experience, and technical focus so that we can adjust our teams for the group case studies.

What is the refund policy?

We are trying to provide the best learning experience with creative group assignments based on your information. That means we are counting on your participation to make the class the best it can be. At the same time, we understand that "reality happens" and not always with much notice. If you have a cancellation at least 4 business days in advance, we will provide a full refund. For unforeseen emergencies, please contact us directly to discuss options: use the Organizer Contact button above or email jacqi@adriancollaborative.com.

Will you accept invoice billing?

If your company or agency requires invoicing instead of advance payment, please email us your request.  If an invoice is approved, we will give you details to register at least 4 business days prior to the first day of training.

What happens if this training is cancelled?

If we do not receive enough registrations to meet our standards for high quality, interactive case studies, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule. In the event of inclement weather, we will make a decision to put your safety first.  You will be alerted of any last-minute cancellations or rescheduling due to weather or emergency via email, text, and phone for your convenience.  If we cancel for any reason, we will issue a full refund within 2 weeks. If we reschedule, we will alert you of new dates and confirm your availability or cancel your seat and issue a refund at your request.
