We work with each student’s fitness level and personal goals to increase strength and flexibility. Everyone is encouraged to increase intensity gradually and above all without strain. The focus is on breath (always), core strength, alignment and above all, safety. Each class includes a warm up, active practice, cool down, and meditative relaxation.
I have practiced yoga for over a decade, and as my practice has grown, I have developed a strong desire to share the benefits I experience with others. I trained with Matthew Cohen at Sacred Energy Arts and Erich Schiffman at Exhale and hold the Yoga alliance RYT - 200 Cerfification.
I think that Yoga is a lot of fun, and I bring that approach to my class. I I integrate my experience of yoga philosophy into all the elements of yoga - pranayama (breathing), asana (poses) and meditation. I tailor my approach to the individual practitioner, so that anyone of any experience can benefit. Above all, I want my students to be safe, have a good time, and end each session feeling better than they started.
