Acting for Entrepreneurs // BUSINESS 422
Marcy Lovitch, Actress and Instructor at OpenInvo Studio
Tuesday, August 9th, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Having a great idea is only the first step to creating your own business or startup. In order for things to really take off, you'll need to convince others that your idea can go somewhere. One of the best ways to do this is by developing a more self-confident and commanding presence during presentations and in business situations.
Acting for Entrepreneurs will help you feel self-assured and express yourself more dynamically in the workplace by teaching you some basic acting skills and techniques. We will cover the fundamentals of how to use your voice to come across powerfully, and how to tap into mind-body relaxation techniques on the fly to calm the nerves. We will also play a series of improvisational games that focus on the ability to think on your feet and tackle the fear of getting up in front of others.
