Acting For Beginners: Perfect beginner class for the little star in your house. (4- 10 years old) This beginner class is designed to be a child's first introduction to performing arts. Students will participate in theater games, improvisation, and mime! These classes are also great for children with upcoming school interviews as a great way to learn confidence, self-esteem, and good listening skills.
Tuesday's classes will be held on February 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12 and 19th
Thursday's classes will be held on February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21 and 28th.
Theatre Company: (5 -12 years old) 9 weeks of acting classes and a final performance. Everyone is a star on the stage at The Toy Museum! Acting classes focus on basic theatre skills such as: improvisation, fundamentals of storytelling, auditions, movement and basic theatre language. The imaginations and curiosity of each student is always encouraged.

Instructor: Catherine Gasta, originally from Philadelphia, joined The Toy Museum in 2010 after being a founding company member of Washington DC's premier physical theater company, Synetic Theater. Playing the roles of both Rosie Rascal and the Queen in the museum's theater performances; History of Toys and The Queen's Birthday Party, Ms. Gasta also teaches theater classes at the museum's after school programs. A professional actress, mime, improvisor, director and choreographer, Ms. Gasta is a gem in the museum's artistic staff.
