A benefit for the Center for Architecture + Design
Join AIA San Francisco and the Center for Architecture + Design for our Opening Night Party, as we kick off the festival with a salute to the many individuals, organizations, cultural institutions and nonprofits that help make the month of celebration, exploration and inspiration possible. Come meet and mingle with members of the architecture and design community at Interactive media agency Obscura Digital, which hosts the festive evening at its Dogpatch headquarters (designed by IwamotoScott Architecture).
The Center for Architecture + Design and The Seed Fund will also announce the winners of the 2013 “Reimagine. Reconnect. Restore. What if 280 came down?” competition, which encouraged entrants to envision our city without the elevated Highway 280 north of 16th Street. The competition was co-sponsored by AIASF, Studio for Urban Projects, SPUR, Architectural Foundation, SF Planning Department, and Next City (media sponsor).
Sponsored by AECOM, with wines donated by Sonoma County.
