Urban Ventures celebrates 20 years of Breaking the Cycle of Generational Poverty on October 10th.
For 20 years Urban Ventures has gone Above & Beyond in our community with programs that serve the whole family. Our programs help fathers and mothers be the parents their children need, provide youth with academic tutoring and mentoring from elementary through high school, offer job support to overcome barriers to employment and much more!
On Thursday, October 10, we celebrate the lives being changed daily - from poverty to prosperity - at Urban Ventures featuring Dr. Ben Carson, Emeritus Director of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Carson shares about growing up in abject poverty and the hope he received through academics and parental support. His story exemplifies why Urban Ventures exists and the hope it gives to those in our city who are ready to break away from poverty’s grip.
