This special retreat includes:

  • Light dinner at the Carriage House Restaurant 7:00 p.m. Friday (cash bar available)
  • Overnight lodging on Friday night, March 22nd for attendees, sorry no family or guests this time.
  • Saturday morning coffee-tea in Guggenheim Pavilion
  • Saturday "wedding style" luncheon buffet at Carriage House Restaurant
  • Saturday afternoon dessert, tea and coffee at Guggenheim Pavilion
Arriving by Train? Plan your Arrival

Attendees contact Amtrak on their own to schedule and to pay for their own Amtrak transportation to Albany-Renssalear (not "Albany") station prior to 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 22nd. The  Carey Conference Center will provide one complimentary shuttle run to and from the Albany-Renssalear Amtrak station for ABC seminar attendees.

  • On Friday, March 22, at 5:00 p.m., the Carey Conference Center shuttle will pick up attendees at the “Albany-Renssalear” Amtrak station (make sure it is this one, not “Albany”). The shuttle driver will greet attendees at the train station holding a sign:“Carey Conference Center.” Attendees will ride the shuttle and arrive in time for dinner at the Carey Conference Center which will begin around 7:00 p.m.
  • On Saturday, March 23 at 5:00 p.m. (the seminar ends at 4:30pm), the shuttle will leave the Carey Conference Center and bring all attendees to the “Albany-Renssalear” Amtrak station.The shuttle should arrive at the train station around 6:00 p.m.

Those are the only times for the complimentary shuttle so attendees should arrange for their own Amtrak arrival before 5:00 p.m. Friday, and departure after 6:00 p.m. Saturday.Taxi fare  to/from the train station to Carey is about $108 one way, so, you’ll want to make sure that your schedule coincides with the free shuttle run to avoid having to pay for a taxi ride. 

If you're arriving by train, please provide  your arrival train and time along with your cell phone just in case we can't find you at the station.

 
Driving Directions 

The Carey Conference Center is located less than 30 miles southeast of Albany and is easily accessible by car, train, bus or plane. But let’s face it: if you’re looking for the hustle and bustle of city life, you won’t find it here. What you will find is nature – pure and simple – from the sweeping vistas of the Catskill and Helderberg Mountains to nearby Lake Myosotis and its magnificent waterfalls. Here, you’re more likely to hear the call of a heron than the blare of a siren. And our repeat visitors wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact, our guests cite our unique and “distraction-free” setting as one of our greatest attributes. We couldn’t agree more.

Head northwest on State Route 5/Washington Ave toward Hawk St - 0.5 mi
Turn left onto Lark St - 0.4 mi
Turn left onto Madison Ave - 33 ft
Take the 1st right onto NY-443 W/Delaware Ave
Continue to follow NY-443 W - 15.7 mi
Continue onto NY-85 W/Delaware Turnpike - 9.5 mi
Slight right onto Huyck Rd - 0.3 mi

Payment and Cancellation

Cancellations more than 10 days before seminar may be refunded less a $25 administrative fee.  Cancellations/no-shows less than 10 days before the seminar cannot be refunded as we have ordered materials and have guaranteed attendance. If paying by check, check must be postmarked by registration cutoff to be granted early registration price. All non-members/guests must pre-pay via Paypal or check received prior to the seminar. Unpaid registrations will not be held beyond noon March 12. Checks should be made to: Association of Bridal Consultants - Education, and mailed to ABC-Education,  660 Neile Ct., Oviedo, FL 32765.
