Optional but recommended: For an additional $300 you can build your own Printrbot Simple with us to take home. This includes 0.5 kg of plastic filament, enough for several serious print sessions. The Printrbot Simple was awarded “Best Value” by MAKE media (http://makezine.com/magazine/guide-to-3d-printing-2014/3d-printer-overview-how-they-compare/) It is easy to build and upgradeable (see Printrbot.com). We highly recommend you order kits through us, it will save you shipping but more importantly enable us to provide any missing parts or components and ensure that you will be able to build a fully functional 3D printer during camp. Printer kit orders are due in full ($300) Jan. 10th.
*** Purchasing a printer kit is not required. Students that do not have a printer kit will get to participate in building and printing on one of our printers.
