This is a reminder that the next meeting of the Chicago-area Autodesk Animation User's Group (AAUGA) will be the evening of Tuesday July 1st at the Lisle Library. It will be held from 5:00pm to 8:30pm. Click here for the link to register.
We will have pizza and networking from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. This a good time to catch-up with old friends or meet new people, share ideas and network.
We will always encourage people to share their work and talk about how they user their software. Tom & I have been attending since 2008. Since this is our first meeting with Tom as president, we will kick it off with a little show and tell about Pulse Studio. Hopefully after that you will see why Jenni asked us to take over running the meetings. If anyone else would like to show their work, work in progress or do a presentation at this meeting or in the future please let us know. It's only a users group if we all participate.
After that Tom Munz will be doing a demo of Populate 2015's new features and ways we plan on implementing it to our workflow. If there is time, we can show other new features we are excited about.
We will also demo a 3DS Max modifier at each meeting. We plan to take a modifier each meeting and talk about it in depth. Everyone uses them but we don't always take the time to learn them inside and out. It's the little things that save us the most time during production. I will talk about the Sweep Modifier. I think it's extremely useful and will show you why.
Since this will be the first meeting that we are in-charge of, it seems like it is a good time to hear from you about the clubs goals and direction. We plan to have a round table type discussion to hear what you would like to see or do at future meetings. Bring your ideas and lets talk about them!
Of course we will have a raffle for Autodesk Swag. Make sure you get your free chance ticket when you arrive.
We hope to see everyone there!
RSVP is required if you want in on the food. We need a headcount to order properly. Feel free to come late if you can make it!
