A Pocketful of Rhymes, with music by Jeanne Bargy and Jim Eiler and book and lyrics by Jim Eiler, is the Broadway hit musical from the 80’s starring the world's first Lady of Rhyme - Mother Goose. This exciting show literally lifts these classic stories off the pages of the book and brings them to life. A fast-paced musical revue, the show moves quickly from Little Boy Blue and Humpty Dumpty to a high stepping hoe-down Yankee Doodle Dandy with clever musical juxtapositions including boogie woogie and rock ‘n roll with a special appearance by Elvis himself for a whirlwind of family entertainment
ABOUT THE CAST: Mother Goose is sung by Lindsey Reynolds, who began with CCLYT at the age of 7 and is now a voice student at NOCCA. The lead singers include: Sean-Michael Bruno, Rachel Bonura, Eli Zitler, Mimi Bernard, Mia Rodriguez, Michael Brown and Jillian Bruno with Alexis Alexis, Elise Bourg, Aniya Fields, Imani Gabriel, Luke Harris, Christopher Love and Taylor Miller as the lively and bustling ensemble.
ABOUT THE STAFF The NORDC/CCLYT production staff includes Kim Barnard, director/ choreographer (the Disney Imagination Movers' TV series choreography); Julie Condy, producing director/music director; Katie Schmidt, costumer; Edward R. Cox, scenic designer; and Mark Montalbano, lighting designer. All shows performed accompanied by a live band with Jesse Reeks (piano), Curtis Pierre (percussion) and David Pulphus (bass).

If this performance is sold out online, there will still be 15 tickets available at the door including standing room. First come, first served. The box office opens one hour before showtime. All seating is general admission. Accessbile seating is available. Please call ahead in order for the ushers to make the seating available to you at no charge.

Parking: Available on the street and in nearby lots on St. Charles Ave. and on Carondelet St. Street parking at meters before 6 pm weekdays and Saturday. Meters take quarters or credit cards.

Crescent City Lights Youth Theater
The Crescent City Lights Youth Theater is New Orleans' only community theater presenting musicals with casts of children ages 8 - 17 year round. Children complete an audition application prior to auditions for admission.
A partner organization with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission, CCLYT is continuing the 50+ year tradition of theater begun as a part of NORD, the City of New Orleans Recreation Department.
CCLYT has presented over 40 productions since its inception in 1993 with 20 productions held at the NORD Ty Tracy Theatre. Hundreds of children have come through the program with thousands of audience members. CCLYT alums become successful adults in various fields including professional entertainment.
