When & Where
CAN DO Houston
CAN DO Houston (Children And Neighbors Defeat Obesity) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and reducing childhood obesity in Houston and surrounding communities through physical activity, nutrition and healthy minds by facilitating a broad collaboration of individuals, institutions, and organizations. We use a fundamentally different approach: through our grassroots initiatives and community engagement, we empower individuals in neighborhoods at greater risk for childhood obesity to advocate for changes in healthy eating and active living in their communities. CDH also works with its partner network to fill the gap between existing resources and neighborhoods. Please visit our website (www.candohouston) to get more details about our specific work in the community.
