When & Where
Burns Latino Studies Academy
The Burns Latino Studies Academy is a community school in an urban setting, serving students in grades Pre-K through 8. As a community school, the Burns Latino Studies Academy provides academics, enrichment activities, and community services for students and families in the school and community.
The school is centered around a Latino Studies theme, which means that Spanish Language, Latino history, and literature are embedded into the curriculum. This is a significant event for the school as Performance Art is an important part of Latino culture, and improvements to the Griffin Dunne Auditorium would serve to benefit the enrichment of Burns students and families.
