Spend an evening in the City of Lights! Hemingway's Paris takes over the Scoville Square with cocktails, French delicacies and live music on the evening of Saturday, July 19!
Celebrate Ernest Hemingway's 115th birthday with readings from Hemingway's Paris letters by Sandra Spanier, editor of the Hemingway Letters Project. The second volume of Hemingway's collected letters feature missives to Ezra Pound, Scott Fitzgerald and other heros and heroines of the 1920s expatriate community in France.
A pop-up exhibit of never-before-shown clothing and artifacts from the Hemingway Archives -- including a ball gown worn by Hemingway's mother Grace and an authentic WWI dress uniform -- shows off the Hemingway family's fashion and passion for art.
Step into the Paris of yesteryear, and be sure to wear your 1920s finest!
Your admission includes weekend admission to the Hemingway Birthplace and Museum, both open for tours Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
And don't forget to bring the kids the following day for a Children's Run with the Bulls in Scoville Park, jazz and lemonade on the Hemingway Birthplace porch, and other family-friendly festivities on Sunday, July 20th!
