No Resolutions! Workshop

at the Project Butterfly loft, a hidden gem in Downtown LA.

(Doors 7pm) 7:30pm - 10pm / Workshop Description

 

• Do you think making New Year's resolutions is a yearly farce?

Do you find you never keep your resolutions?

And then find you get frustrated with yourself for not doing so?

Don't make resolutions! Make change!

 

Participants will leave this interactive workshop with experience:

 

Distinguishing goals from strategies!

    Mapping of doable strategies as opposed to feeling overwhelmed by larger than life resolutions.

    Approaching the goal setting process with heart and mind in synch.

    Reframing reward thinking to move oneself further towards the goal as opposed to stumbling over endless data sorting and self indulgence along the way.

 

Join Mindshare LA and GGI for a "No Resolutions!" workshop and learn how all successful thinkers -- from entrepreneurs to engineers, from monks to systems scientists  -- have used strategic goal setting techniques to “be here now” and stay on track.

Neuroconsultant & design thinker Dr. G. will introduce you to the iterative art and systems science behind mapping your goals for 2012. The workshop covers the 3 effective brain smart / mind awake tips for inhibiting reward as well offer time-tested, change management methods for integrating both superficial and deep layers of narrative that accompany big and small goals.


NOTE: Make sure to bring a notebook!

Dr. G. is the founder / chief brainiac of GGI a neuroconsulting / design thinking institute dedicated to inspiring 21st century learning, living and entrepreneurial leadership! As a trained Results coach, Dr. G. introduces solutions based problem solving into companies and schools throughout the U.S. and abroad. As a pioneer in mindful creativity and design thinking," she researched the use of meditation for creative problem solving throughout the AsiaPacific region has introduced "brain smart/ mind awake practices" to leading 21st century companies including TEDActive, Ovation TV and the NeuroLeadership Institute. As a supporter of Mindshare.la and ProjectFresh, Dr. G. co-curated the evening "Conscious Capitalism" and will be speaking on the topic in relation to goal setting at the upcoming conference on "Leadership and Service" produced by the Alternative Board of NY.
