Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage fall risk, and increase participant’s activity level. This eight-week course will facilitate group discussion to reduce fear of falling, and implement practical strategies to avoid falls and improve safety. It includes some very light exercises. You should attend this class if you are concerned about falls; or have fallen in the past; are interested in improving your balance, flexibility and strength; or have restricted your activities because of concerns about falling.
This group meets every Thursday, September 29 through November 17 (eight sessions) from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.
