Event Details

Following her popular TED Talk '3 Ways to speak English' the GlamSavvy Life.com is hosting a Conversation with Jamila Lyiscott: 'What's Good?' Exploring the Standards of Black Worth.

The event will be held at MoCADA, or the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts. MoCADA incites dialogue on pressing social and political issues facing the African Diaspora, and fosters a dynamic space for the creation and continuous evolution of culture.

This event will also act as a fundraiser for the museum. They currently operate without an endowment or major individual donors, making them vulnerable to funding cuts. If a funder decides they no longer want to support the arts (as often occurs), they will have to cut free programming, or even staff.

They need our support!

A financial contribution of any amount would be greatly appreciated.

There will be a reception directly following in the main gallery space.

PLEASE RSVP...LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE.
