Event Details

A very special conversation with one of the most popular and influential show business figures of his time. The legendary performer and activist Harry Belafonte was the first recording artist to sell over a million LP's (with his album Calypso). He has had an illustrious career on screen (Carmen JonesBright Road), television, and on stage. Of his activism, Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Belafonte's global popularity and his commitment to our cause is a key ingredient to the global struggle for freedom.” Belafonte’s acclaimed memoir My Song was released in October 2011.
