"A CONCERT FOR PEACE"

FEATURING

PLUNKY AND THE UNIVERSAL ENSEMBLE

With Vocalist "LADY EKA-ETE" &

Legendary Master Drummer ASANTE

RJS presents an evening of Jazz played straight-ahead and free, with wishes of peace and universal love for all mankind - led by J.  Plunky Branch – RJS Founder/Mentor and one of the most prolific recording artists in our region.  This high energy and spiritually motivated concert will feature the soothing, soulful vocals of “Lady Eka-Ete” (Jacqueline Holoman Lewis) fondly remembered for her rendition of Plunky’s “River Luv Rite” among others. The ensemble will also feature legendary Ghanaian master drummer - Okyerema Asante - who has performed throughout the world with such diverse artists as Hugh Masekela, The Jazz Crusaders, Fleetwood Mac, and, Paul Simon’s “Graceland Tour”.  Pianist Dr. Weldon Hill and other guest musicians round out this unique reunion concert dedicated to wisdom, peace and love.
