This 3-hour workshop will address several misconceptions around issues of culture, dating and healthy relationships, polygamy, sexual and reproductive health and female circumcision. It will also present the findings of Sauti Yetu’s participatory action research (PAR) with immigrant youth about how they are accessing sexual and reproductive health information and the quality of that information. Sauti Yetu staff will share our perspective on how these issues impact social service provision for African immigrant women and families.
