This 3 hour workshop will offer advocates and social service providers an overview of the legal implications of consent and the child welfare with regard to early and forced marriage. Special attention will be paid to youth above and below the age of legal consent in NYC. Participants will also have the opportunity review case studies to identify legal resources for youth at risk for early and forced marriage.
