Description

Please join us the gorgeous Endicott Visitor Center for a night at the races! An evening of horses, hope and healing as we celebrate the beauty and versatility of the amazing Thoroughbred, and the magic of the horse/human bond. The event will be held on Saturday December 6th, 2014, changed from June 6th.

Enjoy a wonderful Triple Crown buffet, including unique samplings inspired by the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness and the Belmont Stakes races. All made from scratch, with much love, and using local ingredients from area farms. Cash bar with beer, wine and soda. Try our signature drinks for the evening, the Pinot Grigio Mint Julip, the Chardonnay Black Eyed Susan, and the Merlot Belmont Breeze.

Preakness Crab and Shrimp puffBeautiful themed stations of food will be available to sample throughout the evening and include unique selections for every taste. The bar will feature a traditional station of favorites including hot and cold hors d'oeuvres

The Visitor Center will be decorated in all the splendor of the races with a gorgeous museum display of vintage Thoroughbred racing lithographs by CW Anderson. If you are feeling up to a challenge, hop on our Equicizer and experience the same tool top jockey's all over the world use before a race! We will have many 50/50's and raffles throughout the night.

This is a casual evening full of fun, history, and everything Thoroughbred. The proceeds from the event will fund our Excelsior Programs, including our Unified Equestrian Team, the Warriors And War Horses program and the Excelsior Thoroughbred Advancement Program which pairs retiring at-risk War Horses (a Thoroughbred who has raced more than 50 times or earned more than $100k) from the Finger Lakes race track with our clients. Each will learn, grow, change and achieve greatness in their lives, while learning to give back and help others. We hope you will join us as we celebrate this incredible program!

About the Endicott Visitor Center:
The Endicott Visitor Center combines an historical museum, a gift shop, Community Meeting Hall and Banquet Facility. The Visitor Center, once popularly referred to as “Old Colonial Hall” was restored in the late 1990’s.

The graceful mansion now houses exhibits that reflect the origins of Harpur College, the corporate leadership of the Endicott Johnson Shoe Company, IBM and the strong influence the college and industries had on the development of Endicott, Johnson City and Binghamton.
