Event Details

The 8th Annual Cecil J. Picard Educator Excellence Symposium + Celebration is a one-day event that is the culmination of year-long activities in which the 2015 Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year will be announced by the Louisiana Department of Education.   Educators of excellence throughout the State of Louisiana will be honored by private sector partners through Dream Teachers.  Disney Teacher of the Year and New York Times best-selling author, Ron Clark, will deliver an inspiring Keynote Address. Distinguished educators will present 16 one-hour Professional Development Sessions that qualify for CLUs.  Conclude the day with a fabulous evening Awards Dinner and Gala.  This event has become one of the premier educator's events in the state.  Register from May 1 to July 11, for day program only with Professional Development, evening Awards Dinner and Gala only, or the full 1-day event.  Registration must be completed online to receive your printable receipt for check-in at the symposium the day of the event.  Refunds will not be made after July 1.  For more information about the event, contact Kay Jackson, Event Manager, at kay@dreamteachers.org or 225-241-6172.
