8.25 Campaign Film Series Part 2
Friday, November 16, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Jacksonville, United States
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
As part of our 8.25 Campaign, we are hosting a series of films that take a closer look at the sex trade and our Freedom Business Partners. Join us Novembover 16th for the second film series event that will show two videos exposing the sex trade right here in the United States. CNN’s film Selling the Girl Next Door explains how the sex trade persists in the US while a short clip from Thistle Farms highlights an organization that is fighting back through social entrepreneurship. We import from many companies around the world who are fighting the sex trade but Thistle Farms is based in the US in Nashville Tennessee.
Together, the films will be an hour long. After the viewings, Rethreaded's founder, Kristin Keen, will explain how Rethreaded is fighting the sex trade in Jacksonville. You will then have the opportunity to purchase Thistle Farms products and selected products from some of our other partners.
Join us in effectively fighting the sex trade locally and globally by learning about what is really going on in America.
Tickets are a minimum donation of $8.25, which will include complimentary popcorn and lemonade. Wine and beer will also be available for donation. Please consider giving beyond the $8.25 to help support a woman's freedom in our own city. There will only be room for a limited number of people to attend, so get your tickets early! Help us sew new stories right here in Jacksonville.
Please be sure to input at least $8.25 in the 'Amount' box above.
